North Branch, NJ - Raritan Valley's women's volleyball team extended their winning streak to nine games with wins on Saturday over Bergen Community College and Montgomery County Community College. In the first match of the day against the Bulldogs from Bergen, the Lions were led by Olivia Sims with 11 kills on offense and Kelly Delaney with 13 digs defensively. The Lions racked up 9 service aces on the day as Delaney led the way with 5.
In the second game against the Mustangs from Montgomery it was once again Sims and Delaney who helped lead the way. Delaney had 11 kills while Sims added 10 to mark her 10th game of the season with double digit kills. Rachel Hatto was strong for the Lions on the defensive end gathering up 10 digs while Delaney had 9 and Bri Rojas added 8. The Lions were able to capitalize yet again with their serves, this time registering 10 total. Izabela Bar led the way with 3 to compliment her 31 assists in the game.
At 15-4 the Lions are heading into a Monday night showdown with GSAC rival Brookdale Community College at home at 6 PM.
