Najee Durant will enter his first season as head coach of Raritan Valley Community College in the 2026-2027 year. Durant has been coaching girl's and women's basketball since 2017 with experience across AAU, Middle School, High School, and collegiate levels, including time with The Patrick School and Union College. While at the Patrick School his staff won numerous Union County Tournament Titles while sending dozens of players on to play at the college level. During his six seasons at Union College he helped guide the Owls to five Region XIX Championships, five National Tournament appearances (including a Final Four run), and had the team ranked in the NJCAA Top 10 every year. His coaching resume also includes time spent with AAU programs New Heights NYC and Team Sharp. He is currently with Team Sharp 12U-16U where he has led the team to several Championship Titles. Durant currently works as a middle school teacher by day, basketball coach by night, and proud father 24/7. His reputation as a player development-driven, defensive minded coach, and empowering leader, has helped to maximize his players' potential both on and off the court. He brings leadership and purpose with every role that he carries.
