Randolph, NJ - The RVCC Women's Basketball team finished the week 2-0 after wins over Northampton and the County College of Morris. The team was on the road Thursday against the Spartans of Northampton and came away with a 63-51 victory. Exactly a week before the team handed the Spartans only their second loss of the season. On Thursday the Lions couldn't get much rolling offensively as the team shot splits of 34%/30%/55%. Lucia Noin finished with a double double of 12 points and 11 boards and was the only Lion to finish in double digits. Noin also led the team with 5 assists and 4 blocks on the night. Kerine Thomas and Julia Fontanillo each had nine while Vega Gil, Judith Vila, and Quanajah Felder each contributed 8 points. Freya Rauschenfels finished with 7 points, including a huge three pointer down the stretch, and Ja'Nya Mills contributed 2.
On Saturday the team took the short trip to CCM to take on the Titans. The Lions had four players in double figures with Noin leading the way again, this time with 22. Felder had 19, Gil had 18 and Fontanillo finished with 12. Alexis Junker finished with a season high 9 points connecting on both of her attempts from downtown.
The Lions return to action on Tuesday the 23rd when they host the Falcons from Lackawanna College at 5 PM.
