Women Top Morris for Tenth Win
Randolph, NJ - The RVCC Women's basketball team went on the road Saturday to face the Titans from County College of Morris. After a slow start the Lions and Titans were tied at 14 a piece to end the first quarter. In the beginning of the second quarter Kerine Thomas came alive as she connected on a barrage of three pointers. Thomas would finish the half with 7 made three pointers and 23 total points. While she only connected on two of her attempts from downtown in the second half her 9 made threes and 34 points for the game are both career highs for the freshman PG from Henry Snyder High School. Helping Thomas on the night was fellow freshman, Emily Norgard who also notched a career high with 13 points as she knocked in three triples of her own. Tiana Presley was once again a rebounding machine for the Lions as she ended up with a double double of 14 boards and 17 points.
The Lions host the Owls from Union College on Tuesday night in a Region XIX matchup at 5 PM. The team currently sits at 10-15 on the season.
