Sewell, NJ - The women's basketball team traveled to RSCJ-Gloucester to take on the Roadrunners in the last game of the semester. Heading into the game the Roadrunners held a perfect 10-0 record while the Lions sat at 5-9.
The game saw plenty of lead changes as both offenses found their own ways to get going. The Lions trailed by two points heading into the fourth frame, but were able to win the final quarter by ten points. Leading the charge for the Lions were Brie Opdyke with 26 points and Judith Girones Gonzalez with 21 points. Opdyke also lead the team with 13 rebounds, while Micaela Etlinger grabbed eight to go along with her 7 points.
The Lions now sit at 6-9 on the season and return to action on January 8th as they host the Express from Monroe College-Bronx.
