North Branch, NJ - The RVCC Women's Basketball team defeated the ASA Avengers on Saturday, December 18th by a final score of 70-57. The Lions raced out to an early lead as they outscored their opponent 27-15 in the first quarter. The Lions had 3 players finish with double digit socring as Brie Opdyke led the charge, while Micaela Etlinger and Judith Girones Gonzalez each chipped in 17. Opdyke also led the team in rebounding with 14 boards. Allison Seater helped the team on the glass as she finished with 9 boards and Maia Little dropped 9 points on the day as well.
The Lions currently sit at 5-9 on the year and finish the semester on December 21st with a road game at RCSJ-Gloucester. The game time against the Roadrunners is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
