Women's Basketball Earns First Win
Randolph, NJ - The women's basketball team earned their first win of the season with a victory over the Titans of the County College of Morris on Tuesday night in Randolph. The Lions controlled the game from the beginning, when they raced to a 21-8 first quarter lead. The team turned up the defensive pressure in the second quarter and held the home team to just 3 total points. Leading the way for the Lions was Freshman Brie Opdyke with 16 points. Fellow Freshmen Micaela Etlinger and Rocio Martin Munoz each chipped in 10 points on the night. Allison Seater controlled the glass for the team as she gathered 9 boards. The team shot 75% from the charity stripe as they connected on 12 of their 16 free throw attempts.
The Lions look to keep the streak going as they travel to Passaic County to take on the Panthers at 5 PM on Thursday the 18th.
