Roman Headed To Nationals

Flanders, NJ - Three members of the RVCC's Men's Golf Team competed in the Region XIX Championship on Monday and Tuesday at Flanders Valley Golf Course. On day one of the event, Matthew Roman fired an 83, Matthew Rody shot an 87, and Michael Wakely shot an 88. Returning the next day for an early tee-time Roman and Rody both shot an 85 while Wakely finished with an 89. Roman's total score of 168 placed him within the top 5 individual players earning him a spot at the National Championships at Jamestown Community College. Roman and Rody both participated in last year's National Tournament as well. Roman will compete in the tournament at Lake Chautaugua, NY from June 2nd through June 5th.
