Raritan valley community college athletic director Joe Pavlow will take the reigns of the baseball program in the spring of ?22.

Pavlow said, ?We had such a narrow window when the position became open, that it made sense to give these student athletes some stability, and to get them practicing as soon as possible.?

Pavlow who last was a head coach at Penn State Abington from 2008 to 2017, enters the season 19 wins short of 200 career coaching victories. Pavlow won conference coach of the year awards in 2009, 2016 and 2017. His teams won or shared the North Eastern Athletic Conference regular season championship in five of his last seven seasons at the helm of Penn State Abington.

?It?s nice to return to the dugout and have this deeper connection with the student athlete, but in reality this is all about the athletes and helping provide them with the experience that they were looking for when they came to Raritan Valley. This is about developing them as players, students and people, helping them become true best versions of themselves in school and in life.?

The Lions open up their season on March 2 at Camden County College with a first pitch set for 3 PM.
