The RVCC Golden Lions Women's Soccer team hosted Division 1 Harcum College on Thursday September 10. The Bears of Harcum were able to strike first netting a goal around the midway point of the first half. The Golden Lions were not phased and were able to tie the score at 1 with a goal from Sophomore Melanie Campos. The two teams coninued the physical play into the second half and Campos again was able to find the back of the net giving RVCC a 2-1 advantage. The lead was short lived as Harcum was able to knot the game back up at 2 within minutes. As the rain persisted throughout the day the teams were deadlocked until the final 5 minutes and Harcum was able to take advantage of a broken play and connect on the winning goal. The Golden Lions drop to 1-1 but have a quick turnaround as they travel to Montgomery County (PA) on Saturday September 12 for a 11am kickoff.
