North Branch, NJ – On Tuesday Janurary 30th the RVCC Women's Basketball team defeated Morris County College by a final score of 72-44. The Lions got off to a slow start offensively, but because of their defense they led by fifteen points at halftime, 33-18. The Lions shot below 30 percent from the field and from the three point line for the first time all season. However, they were able to make up for it at the line where they shot 75%.
Ashley Hunt continued to fill up the stat sheet as she finished with 19 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. The Sophomore guard from Edison High School drilled four three pointers in the second half. Olivia Nilsen was the other Lion in double figures as she finished with a team high 20 points and also grabbed 6 boards. The Lions play next on Thursday February 1st as they travel to Montgomery County College for a 5 P.M. tip off.
