RVCC Athletics Raises Funds For Relay For Life
For the ninth consecutive year, Raritan Valley Community College sponsored the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life on Saturday, April 27th, 2013. The event which is designed to celebrate survivors as well as raise money for research, patient education and patient services programs took place on the RVCC soccer field.
The RVCC Athletics Department took part in a yearlong venture to raise funds for this event through the sales of PINK Athletic Shirts during the Men's and Women's Basketball, Baseball and Softball seasons.
"Hosting the Relay for Life on campus provides a great opportunity for the Athletic Department to host our Pink Games and to get our student-athletes, fans and supporters involved in raising awareness. We are excited to be able to participate in this way, and very proud of the funds we have raised from selling our annual 'Pink' shirts", said Director of Athletics Amanda DeMartino.
RVCC Athletics looks forward to continuing this effort for the years to come!
